VIT Herbarium - Mycotheca (The Natural History Museum of ?lava)

VIT herbarium-Mycotheca contains ca. 17,700 sheets belonging to 1,700 taxa. It was initiated in 1972. Approximately half of this collection (Micoteca General) was assembled by a large group of collectors integrated in the association Grupo Micol?gico 111 (Antonio Esteban, Luis Manso, Xabier de Olano, Vivencio Mart?nez Irigoyen, Jos? Luis Garc?a Alija, Isabel Salcedo, Fernando Valluerca, Conrado Albandoz, Esther Abad, Eduardo Bengur?a and Luis M? Iriarte). Other collectors to highlight are Germ?n Bastida, Paulino Elorza and Daniel Apil?nez. The other half of the collection is Luis Manso?s personal collection (Micoteca Luis Manso), donated to the Natural Sciences Museum of Alava. 51% of this collection is computerized.
