This dataset is named "Spanish-Language Political News Headline Targeted Sentiment Analysis Dataset", created by the Institute of Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Neuroscience. It focuses on political news headlines published by major news media outlets during the 2019 Argentine presidential election. The dataset contains 1,976 news headlines covering multiple political candidates and parties, with each headline annotated with the sentiment polarity (positive, negative, or neutral) towards a specific target. During the dataset construction, three annotators were hired to label the headlines, Krippendorff’s Alpha was used to evaluate inter-annotator agreement, and the final labels were determined via majority voting. This dataset aims to facilitate research on the impact of media on political decision-making, particularly in assessing the effect of positive content in news headlines on voters' perceptions.
