Transcriptome analysis of chicken thymus at different postnatal stages

The thymus is a primary immune organ that plays critical role in the selection, development, proliferation and differentiation of T cells. Thymus of developing chicken undergoes continued morphological and bio-molecular alterations however, transcriptional dynamics of postnatal thymus in broiler chicken is not clear yet. Therefore, the present study was performed by sequencing thymi of chicken at 0, 1, 5, 9, 18, 27 week of age with 3 replicates at each time point.
