Abstract The salinity of the irrigation water may limit the growth and the production of many crops. With the objective of studying the effects of different salinity levels and composition of the irrigation water on the germination and growth of the upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch) BRS green. This study was carried out using as substrate a Neossolo regossol of sandy loam texture, initially classified as non saline. A 6 x 2 factorial design was adapted using a completely randomized design with three replications. The effects of 6 levels of water salinity - ECw (2.0, 3.5, 5.0, 6.5, 8.0 and 9.5 dS m-1) and 2 proportion of Na:Ca ratios (9.5/ 0.5 and 6.0/4.0) in chloride forms were studied. With the results obtained it was verified that the analyzed characteristics (germination percentage, height of plants, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area) were all influenced significantly only by water salinity.

摘要:灌溉水盐度可能限制多种作物的生长与产量。 本研究旨在探讨不同盐度水平及灌溉水离子组成对陆地棉(Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch)BRS绿品种萌发与生长的影响。 本研究以质地为砂壤质、初始分类为非盐渍化的Neossolo Regosol作为栽培基质,采用完全随机试验设计,设置6×2因子试验方案并设置3次重复。 本实验研究了6个灌溉水盐度水平(以ECw表征,取值为2.0、3.5、5.0、6.5、8.0和9.5 dS·m⁻¹),以及2种以氯离子形态存在的Na:Ca配比(9.5/0.5和6.0/4.0)。 基于所得结果可知,本研究所分析的各项指标(发芽率、株高、茎粗、叶片数及叶面积)均仅受灌溉水盐度的显著影响。
