资源简介:
Abstract Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with significant variations in patient characteristics, treatment approaches, and outcomes. This article reviews the baseline characteristics, in-hospital management strategies, and clinical outcomes of patients admitted with AMI, drawing on recent studies. We explore demographic and clinical profiles, evidence-based interventions such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and pharmacological therapies, and factors influencing in-hospital and short-term outcomes. The review highlights disparities in care, including differences by sex, age, and comorbidities, and discusses emerging trends in management, such as the increasing use of primary PCI and novel pharmacotherapies. By synthesizing current evidence, this article aims to guide clinicians and researchers in optimizing AMI care and addressing gaps in outcomes.
