Data from the nested half sib full sib quantitative genetic design used to estimate heritabilities and genetic variance components for egg-to-adult viability under laboratory (lab) and semi-natural field (field) conditions, encompassing cold (1), benign (2), and hot (3) temperatures in populations from Innisfail (1) and Melbourne (2), Australia. Each egg (id), sire (sire), dam (dam), and replicate vial (rep) is assigned a unique identification code. Data used for estimating genetic correlations are presented in spreadsheets 'Lab_cor_inn' and Lab_cor_melb'. In the remaining spreadsheets data from each individual test environment and population are presented.
