Materials Data on Eu3Bi by Materials Project

Eu3Bi is Uranium Silicide-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Bi atoms. There are two shorter (3.62 Å) and two longer (3.70 Å) Eu–Bi bond lengths. Bi is bonded to twelve equivalent Eu atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing BiEu12 cuboctahedra.

Eu₃Bi 具有类铀硅化物（Uranium Silicide）结构，结晶于六方晶系P6₃/mmc空间群。其晶体结构为三维网状结构。铕原子以畸变跷跷板型配位几何与四个等价的铋原子成键，Eu-Bi键存在两种键长：两条较短键长为3.62 Å，两条较长键长为3.70 Å。铋原子与十二个等价的铕原子成键，形成兼具面共享与角共享特征的BiEu₁₂立方八面体结构单元。
