Doing Family Across Borders: A Comparative Study of Work, Family and Welfare Strategies among Polish Migrants in Norway, Sweden, and the UK, 2016

"Doing Family Across Borders" is an interdisciplinary research project dealing with Polish migration in three different countries, namely Norway, Sweden and the UK. The project seeked to answer the main research question: how transnational family considerations, combined with labour market conjuncture and migrants' rights to welfare provision in the host country, shape migrant workers' relation to work and welfare? In order to answer this research question from a comparative perspective the project focused on two groups of Polish migrant workers, living alone or reunited with the family in the host country, in three different welfare and labour market contexts (Norway, Sweden and the UK).

“跨边界家庭实践”（Doing Family Across Borders）是一项聚焦挪威、瑞典、英国三国波兰移民群体的跨学科研究项目。该项目旨在解答核心研究议题：当跨国家庭考量与东道国劳动力市场形势、移民福利供给权利相结合时，将如何塑造移民劳动者的工作与福利关系？为从比较研究视角解答该研究议题，项目聚焦两类波兰移民劳动者——独居东道国者与携家团聚东道国者，研究覆盖挪威、瑞典、英国三种不同的福利与劳动力市场语境。
