Common land and village greens

This dataset shows the extent and location of all Common Land and Village Greens within Bristol. Commons are typically unfenced land in private ownership with development / land use protected by legislation, although commoners may be granted specific rights. Village Greens are generally areas where local residents go for exercise, lawful sports and pastimes. Some Village Greens also have rights of common over them but enjoy separate statutory protection.
