Association of long-term exposure to air pollution with sleep among middle-aged and older adultsin China: A nationwide study from 2015 to 2018

The data utilized in this study were sourced from publicly accessible datasets available through the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) repository (https://charls.pku.edu.cn) and the China High Air Pollutants (CHAP) database (https://weijing-rs.github.io/product.html). Conducted across 450 communities and villages in 150 counties of 28 Chinese provinces, the CHARLS prospectively surveyed middle-aged and older adults. From 2011 to 2018, four waves of investigations were conducted utilizing multistage probability sampling. The CHAP database offered high-resolution data about air pollutants on daily, monthly or annual scales over the long term.
