<p>This data collection contains enrollment information from all institutions of higher education in the United States in 1976. The data include student enrollment classified by type (i.e., enrolled in bachelors degree programs, enrolled in vocational-technical programs, first-time students, and new transfer students, non-classified students, first-professional students, and graduate students), residence status (e.g., in-state, out-of-state, or foreign), by home state or country, and by sex. (Source: downloaded from ICPSR 7/13/10)</p>
