FATO sediment trap (2022-2023) data

We aimed to understand how phytoplankton are transported to the bathypelagic zone of the Sea of Japan. We collected sinking particles by sediment traps moored at 387 m and 890 m depths and phytoplankton communities in sinking particles were determined with the V4-V5 region of 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing.

本研究旨在探究浮游植物（phytoplankton）如何被输送至日本海的深海带（bathypelagic zone）。我们通过系泊于387米与890米水深的沉积物捕获器（sediment traps）收集沉降颗粒，并利用16S rRNA基因扩增子测序的V4-V5可变区，对沉降颗粒中的浮游植物群落进行了分析测定。
