Crow Creek Snow Depths

The Crow Creek Study Watershed sits at ~2,500 masl in elevation near Laramie, WY and is used as a teaching and research laboratory for the Mountain Hydrology Research Group at the University of Wyoming. The watershed is a small headwater tributary to Crow Creek. Data are collected to characterize the watershed as well as observe/measure hydrologic fluxes. There is the Crow Creek SNOTEL site within the watershed for meteorological time series data with a median peak snow water equivalent of ~170 mm that occurs in late March. The watershed has strong north and south aspect influences and mixed canopy forest type. The delineated watershed area is approximately 0.3 km^2.

The site was laid out into five 10x10 meter plots to analyze the watershed on Crow Creek. Plot A was placed on the top of the north-facing slope, Plot B was placed on the north-facing slope, Plot C was placed at the bottom of the north and south slopes next to the creek, Plot D was placed on the south-facing slope, and Plot E was placed on the top of the south slope.

克罗溪研究流域（Crow Creek Study Watershed）海拔约2500米（masl），坐落于美国怀俄明州拉勒米附近，是怀俄明大学山地水文学研究组的教学与科研实验场地。该流域为克罗溪的小型源头支流，研究人员通过采集数据以刻画该流域特征，并观测、测量水文通量。流域内设有克罗溪雪情遥测站（SNOTEL），用于获取气象时序数据，该站点的雪水当量峰值中位数约为170毫米，通常出现在3月下旬。该流域受北向与南向坡向影响显著，植被为混交林冠层类型，划定的流域面积约为0.3 km²。
该研究区域共布设5块10米×10米的样地，用于克罗溪流域的相关分析。其中，样地A布设于北坡坡顶，样地B布设于北坡坡面，样地C布设于南北坡坡底且紧邻克罗溪，样地D布设于南坡坡面，样地E布设于南坡坡顶。
