This project contains data collected to evaluate seasonal changes in groundwater table and liquefaction hazard in Napier, New Zealand. An extensive subsurface investigation was conducted at three sites in Napier, including cone penetrometer testing (CPT), seismic cone penetrometer testing (SCPT), direct-push crosshole testing (DPCH), seismic refraction, multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW), microtremor array measurements (MAM), and horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR). Data were collected during two visits, one in November 2023 and one in June 2024 to capture dry and wet season groundwater conditions. The sites were selected based on proximity to historic observations of liquefaction recorded after the ~Mw 7.7 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake (detailed by El Kortbawi 2017). The data can be used to inform studies of subsurface changes with time and retrospective and forward-looking liquefaction analyses.
