悬浮物反映了存在于污水中,通过沉淀和过滤等方法无法从水中去除的不溶性物质。悬浮物高时,会使水质变得浑浊,透明度降低,同时也会导致水中氧气的传输能力下降,影响水生生物的生存。对水中悬浮物的有效检测有助于确定相关水域的悬浮物最大日负荷以及相应的最佳管理操作,为污水治理及悬浮物的达标排放提供参考和技术支撑。样品贮存:采集的水样应尽快分析测定。如需放置,应贮存在 4 ℃ 冷藏箱中,但最长不得超过七天。测定步骤:滤膜准备:用扁咀无齿镊子夹取微孔滤膜放于事先恒重的称量瓶里,移入烘箱中于 103~105 ℃烘干半小时后取出置干燥器内冷却至室温,称其重量。反复烘干、冷却、称量,直至两次称量的重量差≤ 0.2 mg。将恒重的微孔滤膜正确的放在滤膜过滤器的滤膜托盘上,加盖配套的漏斗,并用夹子固定好。以蒸馏水湿润滤膜,并不断吸滤。测定:量取充分混合均匀的试样 100 mL 抽吸过滤。使水分全部通过滤膜。再以每次 10 mL蒸馏水连续洗涤三次,继续吸滤以除去痕量水分。停止吸滤后,仔细取出载有悬浮物的滤膜放在原恒重的称量瓶里,移入烘箱中于 103~105 ℃下烘干一小时后移入干燥器中,使冷却到室温,称其重量。反复烘干、冷却、称量,直至两次称的重量差≤ 0.4 mg为止。悬浮物(SS)浓度 (mg/L) 按下式计算: SS=((A-B)X10^6)/V 式中:SS——水中悬浮物浓度,mg/L; A——悬浮物十滤膜十称量瓶重量,g;B——滤膜十称量瓶重量,g;V——试样体积,mL。
Suspended solids refer to insoluble substances present in wastewater that cannot be removed from water via methods such as sedimentation and filtration. High concentrations of suspended solids will make water turbid, reduce its transparency, impair the oxygen transfer capacity in water, and affect the survival of aquatic organisms. Effective detection of suspended solids in water helps determine the maximum daily load of suspended solids in relevant water areas and the corresponding best management practices, providing reference and technical support for wastewater treatment and compliant discharge of suspended solids.
Sample Storage: The collected water samples should be analyzed and tested as soon as possible. If temporary storage is needed, they should be stored in a 4 ℃ refrigerator, with a maximum storage period of no more than seven days.
Filter Membrane Preparation: Use a flat-tipped, toothless forceps to pick up a microporous filter membrane and place it into a pre-constant-weight weighing bottle. Transfer the assembly to an oven and dry at 103–105 ℃ for 30 minutes, then remove and cool to room temperature in a desiccator before weighing. Repeat the drying, cooling, and weighing steps until the weight difference between two consecutive measurements is ≤ 0.2 mg. Place the pre-constant-weight microporous filter membrane correctly on the filter membrane tray of the filtration apparatus, attach the matched funnel, and secure it with a clamp. Wet the filter membrane with distilled water and conduct continuous suction filtration.
Measurement: Pipette 100 mL of the fully mixed and homogeneous sample for suction filtration. Allow all water to pass through the filter membrane. Then perform three consecutive washes with 10 mL of distilled water each time, and continue suction filtration to remove trace moisture. After stopping the suction filtration, carefully remove the filter membrane loaded with suspended solids and place it back into the original pre-constant-weight weighing bottle. Transfer the assembly to an oven and dry at 103–105 ℃ for 1 hour, then move it to a desiccator to cool to room temperature before weighing. Repeat the drying, cooling, and weighing steps until the weight difference between two consecutive measurements is ≤ 0.4 mg.
The concentration of suspended solids (SS) (mg/L) is calculated using the following formula:
SS = ((A - B) × 10^6) / V
Where:
- SS: Concentration of suspended solids in water, mg/L;
- A: Total weight of suspended solids, filter membrane and weighing bottle, g;
- B: Total weight of filter membrane and weighing bottle, g;
- V: Volume of the test sample, mL.
