This dataset presents a geochemical analysis of loess and paleosol sequences from the Weinan and Yuanbu sections on the Chinese Loess Plateau. The study focuses on the environmental geochemistry of Cadmium (Cd), providing high-precision data on Cd concentrations and isotopic compositions (δ¹¹⁴Cd) for both bulk samples and chemically separated fractions (carbonate-bound and oxide-bound states) via a leaching experiment. The dataset also includes fundamental sample information, major and trace element concentrations, magnetic susceptibility (χlf), mean grain size, and weathering proxies such as the Ca/Al ratio. This comprehensive dataset is vital for understanding the mobilization, enrichment mechanisms, and isotopic fractionation of Cd under glacial-interglacial climate cycles.
