DeFog is the first fog computing benchmark suite developed by Queen's University Belfast. It aims to alleviate the burden of fog computing benchmarking through standardized methods and collect relevant metrics to understand the performance of target platforms. This dataset contains six edge computing-related applications, which are suitable for evaluating the performance of cloud-edge deployment platforms. By automating deployment and metric collection, DeFog helps researchers and developers compare and optimize application performance across different deployment modes, with a particular focus on key performance indicators such as latency, concurrent users, and resource contention. The dataset has a wide range of application scenarios, including hardware vendors, internet service providers and system software administrators, and is designed to address performance optimization and resource allocation issues in fog computing environments.
