This dataset compiles statistical data from the 2002 National Forestry Statistics. It includes regional records of the implementation status of the Natural Forest Protection Project (NFPP) in regions of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, with covered indicators such as regional units, total completed investment in forestry fixed assets, state investment (of the total), afforestation (artificial and aerial seeding), closed hillsides to facilitate afforestation, forest management and protection, and other related items. Additionally, the 2002 national forestry statistical data also covers content related to forest cultivation and forest industry, as well as personnel salary and education data of the national forestry system.
