This project is aimed at collecting metagenomic data from pond water samples in Kolkata, India. To this end, we collected water samples from five different pond in Kolkata. The extracted DNA samples were used to perform shotgun metagenomic analysis using Illumina NovaSeq6000 and 16S rRNA gene amplicon analysis using Illumina MiSeq.
