Hunter Wetland Storm Recovery and Erosion Control - Stage 1

This project aims to restore the Wetlands Centre to pre-storm condition and make it safe for the public and volunteers by:
(i) removing fallen trees from near paths and in bush to avoid risk to people and use the fallen trees to create habitat for wildlife;
(ii) repairing 1km of paths with erosion damage;
(iii) revegetating and regenerating areas damaged by the storm;
(iv) repairing damaged stormwater drains by replacing rocks that were displaced, fixing a 2m long walking bridge that was destroyed, adding geotech or something similar, and revegetating with Lomandra, Dianellas, Melaleucas, Casuarinas, native grasses and sedges;
(v) repairing predator-proof fence, auditing 3.6km of the fence, and removing vegetation along the fence; and
(vi) repairing and maintaining 200m of boardwalk that received flood damage.

本项目旨在将湿地中心（Wetlands Centre）恢复至风暴灾害前的状态，并确保其对公众及志愿者的使用安全，具体实施措施如下：
(i) 清除步道周边及灌丛中的倒伏树木，一方面规避人员安全风险，另一方面利用这些倒伏树木为野生动物构筑栖息生境；
(ii) 修复总长1公里的受侵蚀损坏步道；
(iii) 对受风暴破坏的区域开展植被恢复与生态再生工作；
(iv) 修复受损的雨水排水设施：更换移位的石块，修复被毁的2米长步行桥，加装岩土工程（geotech）类加固材料，并以香根草属（Lomandra）、萱草属（Dianellas）、白千层属（Melaleucas）、木麻黄属（Casuarinas）植物，以及原生禾草和莎草科植物进行植被修复；
(v) 修复防捕食者围栏，对总长3.6公里的围栏开展审计工作，并清除围栏沿线的植被；
(vi) 修复并维护200米受洪水损坏的木板栈道。
