AI venture investment share in Russia 2021, by industry

Venture investment in Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects in business software was the highest compared to other industries, at 168 million U.S. dollars in 2021. That represented nearly three quarters of the total investment in AI startups nationwide, which amounted to 226 million U.S. dollars in that year. To compare, advertising and marketing AI projects attracted venture investment worth nine million U.S. dollars.
