The objective was to investigate the diversity of methanotrophs in peat soil from the Riganqiao nature reserve. We performed pyrosequencing of pmoA amplified with two primer sets (A189F-mb661R and A189F-A682R). Please see the manuscript for full details (Deng, Y, Cui, X, Lüke, C, Dumont MG (2013) Environmental Microbiology Reports, in press). 5 cm depth soil samples from hummocks and hollows in the Riganqiao Nature Reserve, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
