Ex-private collection of Mr Lang, (1908 - 1944), Abbey of Royaumont, acquired prior to 1944, France. The inventory of the Royaumont abbey was made by M.M Le Véel et Despras expert for the auction house Tajan in 1989. This torso is the number 476 of the inventory. In 1989, Christie's made also an inventory at the Royaumont Abbey, this torso is the number 2 of this inventory. The torso also appears in an inventory made by Sotheby's after 2000.
