The obejective was to investigate how equine alveolar macrophages (AMs) and monocyte-derived macrophages (MDMs) response to a stimuli which contained fungal spores, lipopolysaccharide, and silica microsphere (FLS), and whether different responses existed between AMs and MDMs. RNA-seq was used to profile gene expression of AMs and MDMs from six clinically healthy horses were incubated with and without FLS for six hours. Differential gene expression analysis between control and FLS-exposed AMs, and MDMs, respectively. In additon, a comparison between AMs and MDMs in their gene expression change affected by FLS.
