The Campbell Scientific Datalogger CR800 14853 was deployed on 2022-06-23 on Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay Ferry Route. This ferry route goes between Horseshoe Bay terminal in West Vancouver, BC and the Departure Bay terminal, Nanaimo BC. This device is a Campbell Scientific Datalogger. Campbell Scientific Dataloggers are used for data acquisition and storage on the BC Ferries SeaKeeper system. The system supports several oceanographic sensors including temperature, conductivity, oxygen, chlorophyll and turbidity sensors. Typically, a meteorological station is also mounted on the ferry platforms. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
