The bacterial canker of kiwifruit caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidae(PSA) is the most damaging disease to kiwifruit worldwide. Since its first discovery in Japan in 1984, it has now been discovered in more than 20 countries around the world. The predecessors did a lot of research on the origin and propagation path of PSA, but so far its exact origin has not been studied yet, and the research of propagation path is relatively simple and only limited to some areas. Therefore, it is necessary to study its propagation path in the world. China is one of the countries where kiwifruit are most affected by PSA. And the relationship between PSA in different regions in China is not yet clear. It is also necessary to understand the genetic diversity of PSA in China. Thus, we selected the samples from seven most severely affected areas by bacterial canker in China and performed a re-sequencing analysis. The genetic diversity of PSA in different regions of China and the transmission of the PSA in the world were analyzed.We obtained a total of 15.9 Gb data resequencing of 21 PSA strains in seven regions and obtained a total of 363730 SNPs, 9912 InDels, and 2555 structural variations. The results of principal component analysis and phylogenetic tree showed that the genetic diversity of Sichuan Province and Hunan Province was higher than that of other provinces. Analysis of the degree of differentiation between different regions by a fixed coefficient (FST) showed that all of the FST values were less than 0.05, representing a low level of genetic diversity. The Tajima'S D-value test shows that all populations are under the balance selection. The calculation of Ka/Ks shows that most of the PSA genes are subjected to purifying selection, and only a few genes are under positive selection. The analysis of the transmission path shows that the global PSA transmission path is complex and there has been a proliferation of reciprocal and repetitive communications among different countries.
