Whole transcriptome profiling (Illumina Microarray) of human ex vivo lymphocytes and monocytes, as well as of human monocyte-derived cells generated in vitro by activating CD14+ monocytes with MCSF, GMCSF or the combination of GMCSF and IL4 B, T and NK cells, CD45+ lin- HLA-DR[high] cells as well as CD14+ monocytes were FACS-sorted from blood of human healthy donors. Some CD14+ monocytes were later activated in vitro with either GMCSF or MCSF alone for 72 hours to obtain Mo-GMCSF or Mo-MCSF cells, respectively, or with the combination of GMCSF and IL4. For the latter, monocytes were activated either from the beginning with GMCSF and IL4 for in total 72 or 144 hours to obtain Mo-GMCSF[IL4 (0-72h)] or Mo-GMCSF[IL4 (0-144h)] cells, respectively, or first alone with GMCSF for 72 hours and then for further 72 hours with GMCSF and IL4. Different combined datasets were generated, partly containing also public data (GSE35457) of human ex vivo monocytes and dendritic cells This study involves third-party_reanalysis of samples from the publicly available dataset GSE35457.
