Data from: Drivers of kelp distribution in the Gulf of St. Lawrence: insights from a transplant experiment

This record contains the datasets of the study in the Bay of Sept-Iles in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence in Quebec during the summers of 2017 and 2018. This study was a transplant experiment using two species of kelp: Alaria esculenta and Saccharina sp. (longicruris or latissima these two ecotypes are present in this region) in two locations, the bay itself and the surrounding islands. This record contains collaborative data of species distribution and collected physical parameters data of salinity, temperature, irradiance, turbidity, and sedimentation at both locations from the four months transplant experiment.

本数据集收录了2017年与2018年夏季于加拿大魁北克省（Quebec）圣劳伦斯湾（Gulf of the St. Lawrence）七岛湾（Bay of Sept-Iles）开展的研究实验数据。本次研究为大型褐藻（kelp）移植实验，选取两种海带类物种：食用翅藻（Alaria esculenta）与糖藻属（Saccharina sp.，该区域存在长柄海带（longicruris）与宽叶海带（latissima）两个生态型），在七岛湾本湾及周边岛屿两个实验位点开展实验。本数据集涵盖本次为期四个月的移植实验期间，两个实验位点的物种分布协同数据，以及盐度（salinity）、温度（temperature）、辐照度（irradiance）、浊度（turbidity）与沉降量（sedimentation）等物理参数的实测数据。
