Professional development of senior rural health staff, Queensland, 1991

The aim of this survey was to identify specific management education needs of senior staff in Queensland Regional Health Authorities and private hospitals. The results would be used to assist in developing a co-ordinated strategic response to meet the identified needs. The survey asked for staff members' opinions about problems in trying to obtain professional management development, assistance needed to adress these problems, perceived importance of different areas of development, preferred channels for receiving continuing professional education, willingness to spend time on such education, and interest in a mutual support program. Background variables included the respondent's age, geographical location,position in his/her occupation, highest level of education completed, membership of professional collecges or associations, and current efforts to obtain further qualifications.

本调研旨在明确昆士兰区域卫生当局（Queensland Regional Health Authorities）及私立医院高级管理人员的针对性管理教育需求。调研结果将用于协助制定协调统一的战略应对方案，以满足已明确的相关需求。本次调研收集了受访职员的多项意见，包括获取专业管理发展资源时遭遇的难题、解决此类难题所需的帮扶支持、对不同发展领域重要性的主观认知、接受持续专业教育的偏好渠道、参与此类教育的时间投入意愿，以及对互助支持项目的兴趣程度。背景变量涵盖受访者的年龄、所处地理位置、岗位职级、已取得的最高学历、专业院校或协会会员身份，以及当前为获取进阶资质所付出的努力。
