Supplementary materials: Multi-source data integration and temporal evaluation for short-term rental screening (New Zealand)

This record accompanies the article "A Multi-Source Data Integration and Temporal Evaluation Framework for Short-Term Rental Market Screening: Evidence from New Zealand" (MDPI Data). It contains the feature provenance register, point-in-time audit, snapshot manifest with SHA-256 checksums, data dictionary and data-source inventory (Tables S1-S5); policy-compliant derived data products (Table S6: Territorial Authority x transition aggregates with cells below ten listings suppressed, the release-aware building-consent and rental context layer, metric, construction-extension and bootstrap tables, a synthetic schema sample, and aggregate outputs of the analyses added during peer review); and the analysis, audit, verification and revision code (File S1). In line with Inside Airbnb's data policy, no original Inside Airbnb data, listing or host identifiers, coordinates or review text are included. DATA_ACCESS.md and verify_snapshots.py allow users to obtain the eleven source snapshots (5 October 2025 to 13 August 2026) and verify them against the published checksums. Building-consent, rental-bond and 2023 Census dwelling inputs are derived from Stats NZ (CC BY 4.0) and MBIE (CC BY 3.0 NZ) data. Version 1.1.0 adds the analyses requested during peer review (reviewer scripts in File_S1_code/10_revision; aggregate outputs in Table_S6_shareable_data/revision_R1) and the 2023 Census dwelling counts (Stats NZ) used to normalise building consents.
