The transportation process of wind-blown sand occurs frequently in arid and semi-arid regions. The combined action of wind and sand impact load in the wind-sand environment poses a serious threat to the safety of construction, transportation and other engineering infrastructures. However, most of the current structural design only considers the effect of wind, and there is few detailed research on the surface load distribution of structures caused by sand impact, which leads to the uncertainty of the safety assessment of engineering structures in wind-sand areas. This work focuses on the wind load and sand load characteristics of low-rise buildings in wind-blown sand environment.
风沙(wind-blown sand)运移过程在干旱、半干旱地区频繁发生。风沙环境中,风力与沙粒冲击荷载的联合作用对建筑、交通等工程基础设施的安全构成严重威胁。然而当前绝大多数结构设计仅考虑了风力的影响,针对沙粒冲击引发的结构表面荷载分布的细致研究却较为匮乏,这使得风沙区域工程结构的安全评估存在不确定性。本研究聚焦风沙环境下低矮建筑的风荷载与沙荷载特性。
