This paper reviews the research progress on the endangered mechanism of Ostrya rehderiana from two perspectives: external factors including climate change, anthropogenic disturbances, pest and disease damage, and intrinsic biological traits of the species itself, such as photosynthetic capacity, growth rhythm, seed vigor and genetic diversity.
