Current research to reduce the harm created by hurricanes involves a mitigation plan in the formation of an Aerodynamics Mitigation and Power System (AMPS) (US Patent, Gan Chowdhury et al., Patent Number: US 9,951,752 B2, April 2018) designed to reduce wind damage and provide power to buildings simultaneously. The AMPS project will be reused in the future for electrical energy production, the configuration will be examined for power generation efficiency; ongoing research at FIU in the WoW EF lab. This project is unique it will have a tremendous impact as it has already been by disrupting the corner vortices generated on the roofs of low-rise buildings by high winds during hurricanes; moving on forward with the production of energy. The targeted audience is future wind engineers and coastal community residents/ mankind.
