Diatom content of the Ferrigno ice core and the average speeds of the meridional and zonal winds for the period 1980 to 2010

Diatom data include the raw counts (n), abundance per year (n/a) and flux (n/m2/a) of diatoms collected from annual layers in the Ferrigno ice core (74.57° S, 86.90° W, 1354 m.a.s.l.). Zonal and meridional wind speeds (m/s) are extracted from ERA interim climate simulations and cover defined regions, for monthly and annual averages for the period 1980-2010, see further details.
