Views and organisational practices relating to business ethics: some evidence from China

The research exercise explored attitudes of part-time MBA students in China (participant samples were collected from Shanghai, Qingdao and Chengdu) towards various attitudes of business ethics, corporate social responsibility and the integration of such topics in Management education. Over 200 students were invited to participate and 112 students completed the survey. The data suggests positive developments towards ethical practices and responsible management in corporate practices-which is of particular interest as it was collected during the pandemic (COVID-19) when additional stresses were placed on middle managers to achieve their various targets associated with their roles; uncertainty lingered and; negative economic was experienced for the first half of 2020 due to the pandemic. The data files include the survey (including the participant invitation letter and ethics consent brief), the QR code to access the survey, a statistical summary of the survey and the raw data.
