Method Image and annotations can be inspected using the TRAS tool developed during the project. 1) Open TRAS 2) Open Image 3) File>Load Annotations Harvest Site UruDendro3a is a dataset of nine RGB images of G. triacanthos, an angiospermspecies. Discs were harvested from the different campaigns. Image Acquisition UruDendro3a photographs were acquired in a laboratory under uncontrolled illumination conditions. The wood discs were sanded using anelectric sander in both cases. Images were captured with a Nikon D3100 camera positioned approximately 50cm from the wood surface. The minimum and maximum image width is 4608 pixels. Sample code from the UruDendro3a dataset follows the structure gtX, where X is an integeridentifying the order in which the disc samples were photographed. Annotation Details The software tool used to generate the annotations was Labelme , which produces closed polygons defined by a set of vertices. We worked with two types of annotations:those corresponding to annual ring boundaries or earlywood–latewood boundaries, and those corresponding to reaction wood.
