Supplementary Material for: PreserFlo Meets Morcher: Short-term Outcome in Complex Post-Traumatic Eye with PKP and Aniridia Ring: A Case Report

A 28-year-old male presented with a history of ocular trauma at age 20, for which he underwent penetrating keratoplasty (PK), cataract extraction, and implantation of Morcher aniridia rings. At age 27, he developed corneal implant decompensation and was treated with Descemet’s stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK). Subsequently, he experienced a refractory rise in intraocular pressure (IOP), which persisted despite maximal medical therapy, and ultimately required surgical intervention. The patient underwent PreserFlo MicroShunt implantation, resulting in a significant and sustained reduction in IOP without the need for postoperative IOP-lowering medications. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of PreserFlo MicroShunt implantation in a uniquely challenging setting involving prior PK, DSAEK, and Morcher aniridia rings implantation. This case highlights the potential role of PreserFlo as an effective treatment option for managing glaucoma in patients with complex ocular histories.
