Dataset for "The Resource Paradox: Coal Export Dependency, Environmental Degradation, and Growth Constraints in Jambi Province"

This dataset accompanies the article titled “The Resource Paradox: Coal Export Dependency, Environmental Degradation, and Growth Constraints in Jambi Province”. It contains annual time-series data from 2009 to 2023 used to analyze the relationship between coal export concentration, environmental quality, and regional economic growth in Jambi Province, Indonesia. The dataset includes: Coal export volume and value, Total export volume and value, Economic growth (GRDP at constant prices), Four environmental indices: Environmental Quality Index (EQI), Air Quality Index (AQI), Water Quality Index (WQI), and Land Cover Quality Index (LCQI). Primary data sources are the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Jambi Province and the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). Data were compiled from publicly accessible government reports and processed for empirical modeling using ARDL and structural break tests. This dataset supports transparency, reproducibility, and further research on resource dependence, sustainability, and environmental economics.
