Functional Genomic approach for Falcataria moluccana breeding and genetic improvement. Falcataria moluccana

One of the main threat to F. moluccana plantation in Indonesia was Gall rust infection caused by Uromycladium falcatarium fungi. Controlling the disease infection by mechanical and chemical methods however did not gave satisfying results so far. Few studies stated that some of individuals had better resistance against the gall rust infection but unverified by molecular methods yet. This research head for finding difference between resistance and susceptible F. moluccana individuals against gall rust infection and to find the gall rust resistance related genes.
