Amplicon sequencing of symbiotic microbial communities in deep-sea clams (16S rRNA metabarcoding of gill tissues) – BioProject PRJNA1464154

This Zenodo record provides a citable metadata layer for the NCBI BioProject PRJNA1464154, which investigates microbial communities associated with deep-sea clam gill tissues. Microbial communities were characterized using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. DNA extracted from gill samples was used to amplify the V3–V4 regions of bacterial and archaeal 16S rRNA genes using a two-step PCR approach incorporating Illumina adapters and barcodes. Libraries were quality-checked, pooled in equimolar concentrations, and sequenced using paired-end Illumina technology. This Zenodo record does not duplicate raw sequencing data.
