资源简介:
Tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic which targets the bacterial ribosome, is used to treat infections cause by Gram positive and some Gram negative organisms. Colistin, a polymixin, targets the cytoplasmic membrane and is usually consider a last resort antibiotic effective against Gram negative organisms. Both tobramycin and colistin are commonly used to treat infections in people with the genetic disorder cystic fibrosis who frequently are infected with opportunistic pathogens acquired from the environment. The goal of this study was to examine the genomes of eight bacterial isolates obtained from natural and wastewaters in Louisvillie, KY in 2015.
