Glucocorticoid receptor pathway

The glucocorticoid receptor (GR, a.k.a. NR3C1) is a nuclear receptor that is activated upon binding of cortisol or glucocorticoids. It mainly regulates gene expression of several groups of genes in two ways. It can stimulate anti-inflammatory genes, or inhibit the transcription of pro-inflammatory genes.

糖皮质激素受体（GR，亦称NR3C1）是一种核受体，在皮质醇或糖皮质激素结合后激活。其主要通过两种方式调节多组基因的表达。一方面，它可以激发抗炎基因的表达，另一方面，它可以抑制促炎基因的转录。
