This LTER Remote Sensing spatial raster dataset consists of LEDAPS corrected Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper image data for Shortgrass Steppe, originally collected on 2004-03-25 (17:16:23.8110630Z) by Landsat 5, row 032, path 033. Cloud cover was 0.15 percent. The Landsat Ecosystem Disturbance Adaptive Processing System (LEDAPS) software was originally developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration–Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland to produce top-of-atmosphere reflectance from Landsat Thematic Mapper and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus Level 1 digital numbers and to apply atmospheric corrections to generate a surface-reflectance product. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has adopted the LEDAPS algorithm for producing the Landsat Surface Reflectance Climate Data Record. Landsat生态系统扰动自适应处理系统(LEDAPS)软件最初由美国国家航空航天局(National Aeronautics and Space Administration,简称NASA)戈达德太空飞行中心与马里兰大学开发,其功能为基于Landsat专题制图仪(Thematic Mapper,TM)及增强型专题制图仪Plus(ETM+)的一级数字数值生成大气层顶反射率,并通过大气校正生成地表反射率产品。美国地质调查局(U.S. Geological Survey,简称USGS)已采用该LEDAPS算法,用于生成Landsat地表反射率气候数据记录。
