From the 2nd of November 2018, intense weather events with heavy rain occurred in the Sicily region in particular over the Central-West part of the region. The meteorological event was characterized by severe thunderstorms with a maximum intensity registered in the provinces of Agrigento, Palermo and Trapani.
The highest cumulated precipitation has been recorded by the rain gauge of Ribera (AG) with 210 mm of rain recorded in 48 hours. <br>
