Brazil: key figures on sport shoes imports 2023

In 2023, 27.5 percent of shoe pairs imported in Brazil belonged to the athletic or sports segment. This category amounted to approximately 7.8 million pairs of shoes. That same year, imports of athletic footwear accounted for 44.2 percent of the Brazilian footwear import value, which made up over 195 million U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, in terms of outbound trade, flip-flops were Brazil's most exported type of shoes.
