“南海北部重大科学问题考察航次”由中国科学院南海海洋研究所“实验6”号科考船执行（首航），于2021年9月5日从广州南海所新洲码头启航，9月16日在广州南海所新洲码头靠岸完成了计划任务，历时12天海上调查作业，总航程1800海里。本航次开展了水文气象、海洋地质和生物地球化学专业调查。
The Investigation Cruise on Major Scientific Issues in the Northern South China Sea was operated by the research vessel (RV) "Shiyan 6" of the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, marking its maiden voyage. It departed from the Xinzhou Wharf of the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology in Guangzhou on September 5, 2021, and berthed back at the same wharf on September 16, 2021 to complete the planned mission. The cruise lasted 12 days of maritime survey operations with a total voyage of 1,800 nautical miles. This cruise conducted professional surveys covering hydro-meteorology, marine geology and biogeochemistry.
