Climatology of 500 hPa geoptential height in m²/s² as a 90-day running mean for each 3-hourly calendar time using 3-hourly data from 1979-2019. Dataformat is netcdf. Horizontal grid spacing is 0.5° on a regular lat/lon grid. Each file Z90_<mmdd_hh> contains the 2D field for a calendar time with the time encoded in the file name where mm, dd, hh stand for the 2-digit months, day, hour in UTC.
