Abundance of blue crab post-larvae, coastal Texas, spring and summer 2013-2015

Callinectes megalopae were collected from the water column in Galveston, TX and Freeport, TX from August 2013 to August 2015 and identified by 16S mitochondrial sequences. Most of the megalopae could be assigned to C. sapidus (62%), C. similis (36%) C. rathbunae (1.5%), or C. danae (0.12%), while 5 (0.8 %) were ambiguously grouped with both C. similis and C. danae. This dataset reports Callinectes abundances (as mean per tow) for C. rathbunae, C. danae, C. sapidus, and C. similis.
