This dataset provides calculation samples and program code for the water temperature simulation model proposed in the paper. Program code is available in both VBA and Python versions. The VBA version includes calculation samples with input values and is compiled into an Excel file (XLSM). For the Python version of the program, sample input values (CSV) are provided separately for testing the calculation. Output values (CSV) are also provided for checking the calculation results.
These input values are based on observations at the experimental site in Saito, Japan (the location is shown in Fig. 3 of the paper). Observation was conducted from transplanting to harvest of rice in 2002. Additionally, for Python program code, a Japanese-annotated version is available that includes a function utilizing Agro-Meteorological Grid Square Data (AMGSD) as meteorological input values.
In the program code, the leaf area index (LAI) and canopy height (h) of rice are calculated from developmental stage (DVS: denoted as phenological stage Ps in the paper) using a crop growth model. Time step for the crop growth model is 1 day. On the other hand, time step for the energy balance model is 1 hour. The calculation includes a 10-day spin-up period to obtain water temperatures after eliminating the influence of initial values. Using the energy balance model, Canopy temperature and energy balance components including latent heat flux (evapotranspiration) are also calculated simultaneously with water temperature.

本数据集提供了论文中开展的可变水深下水温模拟的计算示例。本次模拟设置水深范围为0~200 mm,同时设置3档气温水平(平均气温Tave分别为10、20、30℃)与3档冠层密度工况,其叶面积指数(LAI)分别为0.25、1、4。各气温水平对应的昼夜温差分别为10.8、10.4与8.0℃。日均水汽压、太阳辐射与风速分别设置为:eave=最低气温Tmin对应的饱和水汽压、RSday=350 W·m⁻²、Uave=2 m·s⁻¹。针对不同冠层密度,水稻的生育阶段与冠层高度设置为对应取值:当LAI=0.25时,Ps=0.35、h=0.28;LAI=1时,Ps=0.5、h=0.46;LAI=4时,Ps=1、h=1.06。
另一组计算示例为日本SAITO观测点的水温季节变化模拟。该观测的时间跨度为2002年水稻插秧期至收获期。本次模拟中,叶面积指数(LAI)与冠层高度h采用观测值作为输入,程序代码中同时包含了用于估算二者的模型。
两组模拟的计算时间步长均为1小时。为获取水温初始值,模拟包含了为期5天的自旋初始化(spin-up)过程。在季节变化模拟中,第2天后无需再进行自旋初始化。模拟过程同时计算了地表与植物冠层的能量平衡。
