Targets: Moons are stable over > 1Gyr for long period planets. Giant exoplanets are the preferred candidates. For Rings targets are giant planets beyond the snow line so best candidates are also giant planets with long periods. Another arguments suggest that short-period planets with identified Na K absorption bands may host volcanic moons (Oza et al. 2020). 摘要:
科学目标:探测环绕系外行星的首个系外卫星/行星环系统。
目标选择原则:对于长周期行星而言,其卫星可在超过10亿年的时间尺度上保持稳定,巨型系外行星为优先候选目标。针对行星环的观测目标需为雪线之外的巨型行星,因此最优候选目标同样为长周期巨型行星。另有研究表明,已探测到钠(Na)、钾(K)吸收带的短周期行星可能拥有存在火山活动的卫星(Oza等人,2020),因此我们也将对已探测到钠钾吸收带的此类行星开展观测。
